Memory XI, the latest work from the Memory series, is finished. The piece is 36in X 24in unframed. Like all the works in this group, Memory XI was created by spraying acrylic paint through found vintage and antique crochet doilies and over solid circular doilies I crocheted myself and repurposed from a graduate school project. After the paint application, I go back into the work and stitch through and crochet on top of the paper substrate with found fibers.
Postcards featuring a selection of works from the Stains series are currently available at the Carnegie-Stout Library in Dubuque, IA and at Rountree Gallery in Platteville, WI!
