Spring might be coming to Wisconsin soon-ish and that means it's the season for another iteration of The Drift at Rountree Gallery! The exhibit will run March 7th to April 20th and the opening reception is scheduled for Friday, March 8th from 4-7pm. Memory XIX will be included in this year's exhibit featuring submissions from regional artists residing within 100 miles of Platteville, Wisconsin.

First artwork of 2024! The latest piece from the Memory series, Memory XX,
is finished and is 24in X 18in unframed. Like all works in this series, it was created by spraying acrylic paint through found vintage and antique crochet doilies. After applying the paint, I then stitched through and crocheted on top of the paper with found fiber. It will also be included in at least one of three shows already in the works for 2024.

Memory XIX, from the Memory series is finished and is the most recent piece that will be included in Distorted Recollections at the Dubuque Museum of Art. It's 36in X 24in unframed.
